Mycology premade regular mouth plastic white lids with inj port and air filter

Autoclavable mason jar regular mouth mycology lids 70mm with self-healing injection port and air filter vent for liquid culture and grain spawn cultivation.

This mode also comes in the Wide mouth Model 86mm

These lids do not need a Sillicone Gasket on them.

The injection port and air filter on these lids are replaceable. Just apply primer and replace the injection port and air filter as required, depending on use. It is a great idea to tilt the jar and check for leakage before and after adding it to the steriliser. If the leakage is from the injection port or the air filter, press it down firmly for 5-10 seconds, and it will do the job.

Tip-The air filter and injection port will get immense pressure from the water that’s changing to steam in the steriliser. We let the jars sterilise and cool down. Before taking them out, we make a gentle push on the air filter and injection port for them to stick back if they came loose.

Will your lids fit all Mason jars?

Our lids are designed to fit mason jars labeled as Regular Mouth (70mm) or Wide Mouth (86mm). These are standard sizes, and they will fit popular branded jars like Ball, Kerr, Aussie Mason etc.

However, please note that non-branded jars from stores like Big W, Kmart, or Coles may not be the same size and our lids may not fit them.

Before purchasing, we recommend ordering a single lid to test the fit. You can also check your jar’s size by visiting the the website of the retailer where you purchased your jars or planning on purchasing the jar and confirming whether your jars are labeled Regular Mouth or Wide Mouth.

This way, you can be sure our lids will work with your jars.

Save time and effort from drilling holes on Mason Jar lids. These Lab-class mason jar lids are designed specifically for Liquid Culture and Grain Spawn cultivation. The regular mouth lid includes an injection port and a micron air filter. The injection port allows the needle to pass through multiple times while self-healing. The micron air filter has a vent of .22 microns, allowing the appropriate exchange of gases whilst remaining sterile. The filter and injection port have a strong adhesive that can withstand autoclave temperatures of over 120 Celsius (250F) at 15psi for extended periods. Unlike metal lids, these Lids do not rust since they are made of plastic.

*THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF MASON JARS- WIDE MOUTH AND REGULAR MOUTH. THESE LIDS ARE FOR REGULAR MOUTH MASON JARS*

Item Specifications:-

• • • Mason Jar lid (White color)- 70mm outer diameter mouth jar (Fits small 4oz regular mouth jars to 64oz regular mouth jars)
    • Air Filter Vent (White color)- 0.22 Micron, 3M adhesive backing-1.8 cm X 1 cm.
    • Self-healing silicone injection port (Black) -3M adhesive backing- 1.8 cm.

Air Filter Vent:

This Air Filter Vent provides gas exchange in culture containers whilst removing the chances of contamination. That is due to its 0.22-micron filter, which blocks all contaminants but permits the entrance and exit of oxygen and carbon dioxide (The smallest contaminants are 3 microns). This product has proven long-lasting and highly durable; it is autoclavable and widely used for grain jars and liquid cultures.

Self-healing Injection port:

The self-healing Silicone Injection Port allows a needle to pass through while self-healing. It is autoclavable and long-lasting. Multiple times, we have sprayed alcohol on this product prior to inoculation, and it has shown no signs of deterioration. It is easy to clean and has a simple but elegant design, which homemade self-healing injection ports lack.

3M Primer
What makes these items efficient and secure is the 3M strong adhesive. It can resist autoclave temperatures over 121 Celsius at 15psi for extended periods when kept covered and dry during sterilization (We have proved that it withstands higher psi. However, it is not recommended for lasting usability). We recommend keeping the jar covered with foil paper on top to avoid water/steam getting inside.

Usability:

• • Grain jars.
  • Liquid Culture jars.
  • PF TEK culturing.
