Still Air Box (SAB)| Mushroom | Large | Pop up

A still air box is designed to minimize air movement, allowing contaminants and spores to settle at the bottom rather than circulating freely. This controlled environment significantly reduces the risk of contamination during delicate procedures. For optimal results, it’s recommended to elevate your work surface slightly within the box and avoid any sudden movements inside the box that can disturb the air inside the box.

Still air boxes are great tool used in various mycology-related tasks, including:

• Pouring agar plates
• Performing agar transfers
• Conducting grain-to-grain transfers
• Executing grain-to-substrate transfers
• Inoculating liquid culture jars etc.

Additionally, these boxes can be utilized by anyone requiring a sterile workspace for sensitive operations where contamination prevention is crucial.

The pop-up design offers quick setup and breakdown, typically taking about 30 seconds for each. While initial folding may present a slight challenge, users quickly become proficient with practice. The transparent construction allows for clear visibility of the work being performed inside the box. Although the market may lack a wide variety of high-quality still air box designs, this pop-up version represents one of the better options available for mycology enthusiasts and researchers.
