All American asks all resellers of the product( That’s us) to notify consumers that changing the overpressure plug is considered a modification of the device and legally, it cannot be used as a medical device if it is not changed by a professional.

It is quite a scary experience to have your overpressure plug suddenly pop up one day, making a loud noise and releasing the pressure mid-sterilization. If you have experienced this, please look for a yellow envelope that came with your sterilizer along with some paperwork, All Americans always provide a spare plug. But every individual needs to have a spare as it is one of the parts that needs constant changing.

The overpressure plug comes with 2 documents provided by All American, one of them contains a disclaimer and the other one outlines the steps you need to take to change the plug by yourself. If you did not receive these documents in your package, please send us an email to send you a digital copy.
