How To Use OMM

Follow the given steps to prepare the tissue culture media using PCT’s Orchid Maintenance Media:

1. Measure 800 ml of distilled water in a beaker.
2. Add 27.36 grams of Orchid Maintenance Media, 30 grams of sugar, and PPM™ (1-2 ml/L) and stir thoroughly until all components are dissolved.
3. Add distilled water to bring the total volume to 1000 ml.
4. Adjust the solution’s pH to 5.4 to 5.8 using a pH meter and appropriate pH adjusters.
5. Add a gelling agent (6-8 g/L of agar or 3-4 g/L of Gellan Gum) to the solution while stirring continuously.
6. Autoclave the prepared medium to sterilise at 121°C and 15 psi for 20 minutes.
7. Allow the medium to cool before pouring it into culture vessels.
