The HF-2L Glass Spray Dryer is a compact, high-precision system designed for efficient spray-drying of solutions, suspensions, and viscous materials. Built with transparent borosilicate glass and advanced PID temperature control, this unit is ideal for research labs, universities, food technology, pharmaceuticals, and plant extract processing.
Spray dryers are widely used in extracts and mycology because they transform liquid extracts, broths, or suspensions into stable, free-flowing powders in a fast and controlled process. While spray drying does involve heat, the exposure time is extremely short—often just a few seconds, which helps minimise thermal degradation compared to conventional drying methods. This makes it suitable for many, though not all, heat-sensitive compounds. In mycology, spray drying is valuable for producing mushroom extract powders, enzyme preparations, fermentation broths, and mycelial biomass with consistent particle size and improved solubility. Beyond mycology, spray dryers are commonly used in pharmaceuticals, food and beverage production, nutraceuticals, flavours and fragrances, dairy processing, herbal extracts, and chemical manufacturing, where they help create stable powders with long shelf life, easy dosing, and excellent flow properties.
